$20 Amazon giftcard for $10

Today at Living Social (site like Groupon) you can get a $20 Amazon Giftcard for only $10. But if you're new to Living Social they will give you a $5 credit. I was able to use my credit but I'm hearing from other people that they were not allowed to use this credit on this purchase. Still $10 for $20 to amazon is an awesome deal! That is where I buy all my diapers so I'm excited because after coupon code/Amazon Mom and Subscribe and Save I buy the $40 for boxes for only $20 so the next box I buy will only cost me the $5 this giftcard cost! Cannot beat that!

Menu Plan Monday 1/17

Last week we had a lot of soup lol and bent our budget a bit to eat out a couple times. At the time I thought yeah I would rather eat out but thinking back, I so wish I would have made what I had planned and not swayed. One meal hubby didn't want because we were out of salsa and said he could not eat it without salsa, I should have just said, sorry - too bad lol and made it anyway instead of letting him grab fast food and spend $10 on food we didn't need. We're a work in progress but I know soon we'll be done with our eating out (esp if the new meals I make this week are as good as I think they will be!)

Menu Plan Monday 1/3

Hello New Year! Here is my first menu of 2011! I got a Kitchenaid Mixer for Christmas (thanks to my best friend!!) and a big new 6 qt crockpot from my mom and for my birthday my mama also got me a Mixer cookbook and crockpot cookbook (how perfect is that!?)! SO I hope to try out many new recipes this year using my new toys! This week I already had most of what I needed for simple meals on hand in the pantry so I'll try some experimenting next week!

Monday - We have a bday party to go to - will eat there

Tuesday - Spaghetti, green beans and garlic bread

Wednesday - Black bean and rice burritos

Thursday - Chicken pasta skillet meal (one of the TGIF meals I got for $1 at Target a while back lol)

Friday - Cheeseburger Macaroni and broccoli

I have not planned Sat and Sun - I plan on shopping fri night for next weeks groceries so I'll get meals for the weekend then as well. I'm hosting a baby shower for my sister in law on sunday so I'll be spending a good chunk of next weeks grocery money on food for that - another reason I love having a full pantry from stocking up on items when I can get them for free! :)
